Im going to start off ambitious and say you should aim to make healthy choices daily. I know it may not seem like this is a possibility with how crazy hectic your days are, but trust me you can do it! Taking care of our bodies is so important to keeping them running well! We will be more productive so it’s worth it.
One of the easiest ways for me to add good choices into my day is through juicing. This is my ideal drink snack in the morning and in the afternoon. It’s so easy to grab and bring on your walk to work, have sitting on your desk, or to be sipping on it while you answer emails. Plus it’s SO much better for you than soda! For me, when I’m on the go I tend to eat easy mainly bland meals because I just don’t have the time to put something elaborate together. Unfortunately this means veggies/fruits may be left out of my meals! Juicing just makes getting your daily needs in so much easier. Whether you buy them store made, or you enjoy the process of making your own, juices are amazing.
Lets get Physical
Getting active makes me feel so much more energetic! And with my life, having a baby, I need all the extra energy I can get. Its scientifically proven that getting active will give you more energy, so it’s just up to you to pick your method! My personal favourites have always been jogging, I even used to run track back in my high school days! That’s how much I love running. Other favourites are swimming, weight lifting (using my son as weight sometimes when I can’t hit the gym) and long walks. I also used to train martial arts, which probably gives the best all around workout and is the most fun! You can fit a 45 min class into your schedule 4/5 days a week I’m sure! It’s all about probities and managing your time.
I suggest switching up your activities to find something that totally distracts you from your stressful life. Pick an activity that stops your mind from going over check lists of things to complete!
Get into a routine
While having a baby can help with this, I need a personal routine as well or I forget to do things/lose track of time. I have set things I do during nap time, such as blog research, social media promotion, and responding to emails. Every now and than I’ll use part of a nap to relax and do something for me (Like reading a book, or catching up on a show. My days are pretty planned, we go for 1-2 walks a day in the stroller sometimes heading to a park. These walks are great for taking pictures and practicing my photography. When the hubs is home, we also use these walks to shoot outfit posts. At night I usually have an hour or two to write my blog posts, edit pictures for various shoots and do any house chores. Having a routine keeps my stress down, makes sure everything gets done, and ensures I’ve made time for healthier choices.
Plan Your time
My daytimer is my best friend. I plan my entire life in this book, from what tasks I need to complete on a daily basis, hubby’s work trips, baby activities, and just fitting in my gym time. She days are so busy that I forget what day it is, so having a book that keeps everything straight for me is a lifesaver. This book honestly saves me so much stress and frustration with forgetting things, that it keeps me much happier and a happy mind goes a long way towards a happy body!
Other Healthy Things you can do:
-Take the stairs instead of the elevator
-Wake up and fit a quick 15 min workout in (do some crunches, jumping jacks and push ups)
-Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, I personally like to keep a water bottle next to me and finish it before I go to eat anything
-Keep healthy snacks in the fridge, make those your go to instead of chips
